Carnage #1 of 5 - Zeb Wells + Clayton Crain. The 90s return as Spider-Man and Iron Man become involved in a "Maximum Carnage" revival. Crain's art is still annoyingly dark, even in scenes of full daylight.

Chaos War #2 of 5 - Greg Pak/Fred Van Lente + Khoi Pham. The human heroes have all been immobilized, so Hercules has to recruit some more ( Read more... )

Astonishing X-Men: Xenogenesis #3 of 5 - Warren Ellis + Kaare Andrews. The writing finally comes around and presents the antagonists as something more than just fearful soldiers under an African warlord. It's also nice to see it tying into both Ellis' first Astonishing X-Men story as well as some classic tales.

Fantastic Four #580 - Jonathan Hickman + Neil Edwards. This issue was bad in so many ways, which was surprising since I've mostly been enjoying Hickman's run.
